The Legal Center was designated as Colorado’s protection and advocacy system in 1977, protecting the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities. Since then The Legal Center has acquired a number of other protection and advocacy programs for people with disabilities and two programs that protect the rights of older Coloradoans (individuals 60 years and older). Currently, The Legal Center operates 10 protection and advocacy programs for people with disabilities and two programs for older Coloradoans.
The Legal Center provides advocacy to individuals throughout the state of Colorado, from its offices in Denver and Grand Junction.
